Pestana Vale da Pinta
Every year the final stages of the Qualifying School for the European Seniors Tour are played here. The dog legged holes (3, 4, 6, 7, 10 and 14) demand good driving skills to continue on towards a decent score.
It is the beautiful lake, that also supplies the complete course with abundant irrigation water, that you have to conquer from the moment you tee off from hole number 12 as well as on the thirteenth hole. There are holes that will pleasantly surprise you. For instance the use of a short iron might suffice on the PAR 3 fifth hole however those hazards and the surrounding water make this no easy matter! Meanwhile the seventh hole will demand the most of your teeing skills, because if you miss the green at the end of the valley, it will leave you with a tough shot.
With its 540 metres from the medal tees the 18th and final hole is a worthy closure to a day full of exhileration and unforgettable enjoyment on a Championship course.
